Failure Mode/Response Approach

surescripts has identified different levels of failure for ncpdp based messages in instances where surescripts receives a message that is unrecognizable, surescripts sends back an http error if an error occurs after the sender has been identified and validated and the message has been determined to be an ncpdp message, surescripts returns an ncpdp error message to the sender if the recipient identifies an error, the recipient creates an ncpdp error message and returns it through surescripts to the sender
