Timing for Response

if the provider has not received the paresponse within 48 hours or if no estimated timeframe was provided in an in process paresponse, the provider should not send another painitiationrequest message instead, the provider should either send a pacancelrequest or follow up with the pbm/payer via phone or fax please note that resending the same painitiationrequest can delay rather than expedite a request
