This section defines the data elements used in E‑Prescribing transactions on the Surescripts network. It documents Surescripts‑specific requirements, conditions, and business rules that supplement the NCPDP SCRIPT Standard.

Use the Element Details tables to understand:

- When an element is **required, conditional, or optional**
- How elements must be populated to meet **certification and production requirements**
